Snake Pit U.S.A. Catch Wrestler Nico DeSalvo does it again!

USA Wrestling at Stockyard Stampede in Fort Worth, TX. This event took place at the Fort Worth Convention Center alongside the 2019 Senior National: US Olympic Trials Qualifier. Catch Wrestler Nico DeSalvo wrestled in 74lb lb 12U division winning the division and was voted most outstanding wrestler in the entire 12 yr old division.

Nico’s father Darren DeSalvo is not only a Snake Pit USA Team Captain, and member of our coaches association but the Catch Wrestling for kids Head Coach! Check out his incredible facility just outside New Orleans, LA!

This special event featured legendary wrestler and coach, Floyd “Bad News” Winter on the mats teaching to a very focused audience full of competitive grapplers and fighters. Coach Joel Bane came in halfway through and as usual went into a highly detailed series after series ranging from leg locks and neck cranks to a few smooth transitions and set ups.

Special thanks to all those in attendance for their continuous dedication and commitment to excellence and of course to Snake Pit USA Rep Coach Anthony Spataro for hosting us every year.

THE 2014 CACC WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP

Presented by Snake Pit U.S.A. and The MMA World Expo

The 2014 Catch Wrestling World Championship will be held at the 2014 MMA World Expo at the Jacob Javits Center in New York City on Sunday 27 July 2014. This will be the first Catch Wrestling World Championship in over 90 years! Former U.S. Olympic Coach and first American to win Gold in World/International Greco Roman competition, Floyd “Bad News” Winter will be our head official and all match announements will be conducted by the Godfather of MMA Media, Eddie Goldman from No Holds Barred Radio.

The Catch Wrestling World Championship will be held in honor/memory of the legendary Wrestler and Coach Billy Robinson. All competitors will receive FREE admission to the 2014 MMA World Expo on Sunday July 27th, and FREE Billy Robinson memorial tee-shirts. All division winners will receive Trophies and the Absolute/Open Weight division winner will receive the 2014 Catch Wrestling World Championship Belt!
